How did you think babies were born before you learned the dark truth?

Where I'm from alot of old people wander into corn fields, get lost, and then die. My dad told me that babies come from the corn fields. Ya just go out and wander around a bit and then boom, ya stumble on a baby in the corn. Then you take it home. My brother was born in winter, so there were no corn fields, and I was very distressed because there was no corn to go go get my brother from. So my dad told me they got him from when there were cornfields and since he was a kinda puny they took him to the hospital and put him in the oven (incubator) till he was done. This satisfied me as a child. I went and saw him in the hospital, he was in fact in the oven! Dad didn't lie, lmao. I told my cousin when he asked me as a toddler that we found him in a pumpkin patch because his hair was pumpkinseed orange. Didn't help his baby photoshoot was in pumpkins and whatnot.
