What are some dark facts about cartoon shows?

Man, I spent way too many hours watching cartoons when I was a kid, and honestly, some of that stuff is pretty messed up if you look at it with adult eyes. Like, take Tom and Jerry. It’s basically just constant, brutal violence disguised as comedy. You don't really notice when you're little, but now it’s just wild seeing how much property damage and trauma those two caused each other for no real reason.

Then there's the whole conspiracy theory stuff about shows like Rugrats. It’s pretty dark, but people talk about how the babies were actually just figments of Angelica's imagination because of her rough home life. Whether that’s true or just internet nonsense, it definitely ruins the vibe of the show for me now. It's weird how a little shift in perspective makes a childhood memory feel totally creepy.

Even the old Looney Tunes had some really questionable segments that would never fly on TV today. Some of the stuff they pulled with the stereotypes or the way they handled certain scenes is just straight up awkward to watch in this day and age. I guess back then writers just didn't think twice about what they were putting on screen, but looking back, it makes you wonder what they were thinking.
