Why do find it OK to be fiercely misogynist in their comments?

It’s honestly pretty frustrating to see that kind of stuff popping up everywhere online. From what I’ve noticed hanging out in various forums and social media, a lot of guys seem to use the anonymity of the internet as a shield. They think they can just vent their frustrations or personal failures by tearing down women, and since there’s no immediate consequence, they just double down on the hate.

I think a lot of it comes from these echo chambers where guys feel validated by others who think the same way. When you're in a group where everyone is just fueling each other's bitterness, it stops feeling like hate speech to them and starts feeling like "speaking the truth." It's a toxic loop, really. You see someone post something aggressive, others like it, and then the original poster feels empowered to be even worse next time.

Personally, I just don't get the point of being that miserable. Life's too short to spend your energy hating on half the population just because you're unhappy with your own situation. I usually just report that garbage when I see it, but it’s definitely an uphill battle since the internet makes it so easy for people to hide behind their screens and act like jerks.
