No, if it is Bethesda would be retarded. That's not a cost effective way of marketing, or even remotely effective. That being said... not victim blaming here, Bethesda did pull a bait and switch. But really... $200 collectors edition... That come with a season pass or are you paying 100+ Extra USD for all that worthless tack? I'd expect a silk bag for that price... I hope you guys are mad at yourselves as much as you are at Bethesda, while it doesn't excuse Bethesdas obligations, caveat emptor people! Fuck. Stop being so damn trusting.

No, because now they're being targeted by several lawsuits alleging false advertising and it honestly seems like an open-and-shut case in the plaintiffs' favor.

The damage to their reputation for not delivering on the initial promise is far greater than any good that will come from finally giving the customers what they asked for. I think they were just being greedy and hoped no one would notice.
