Savers , what tips do you have in saving money and not buying unnecessary things?

Automatic savings, whenever I get paid I have a savings account that pulls a set ammount of money out and stores it where I can't rly touch it. A second savings account where I put 10% of my pay into but have access to. I also have a personal 'lowest balance' set in my mind where I CANNOT go past, if it reaches that bar I consider myself 'broke' because that money is accounted for bills coming out if I don't get my next pay. Aside from not buying unnecessary things, I kept that lowest balance in mind and consider if I really need that thing THIS pay and if it can wait. Usually it can and I lose interest by time I get around to it again.

Always act like you're broke. If you maintain the mentality that you don't have any money, it's easier to say no to buying those unnecessary things

Ask a true, TRUE friend to keep your money (or your debit card idk) when you know you won't need to buy important things for some times, kinda like a babysitter, but for money

Make a game of how long you can go before your trash can is full. It will make you a better person and maybe help the environment as well.
