Would you reduce your meat consumption if lab-grown meat or meat alternatives were cheaper and tasted good? Why or why not?

Definitely. Pigs and cows are at least as emotionally intelligent as dogs, maybe even as much as humans. I don't have a huge problem eating them, we're omnivores, so much as how we treat them. An animal that lives a comfortable life and then is humanely killed, I'm ok with. An animal that's restrained or tortured for it's entire life is unspeakably cruel. Unfortunately organic and free-range and most of those labels don't mean cruelty free. So the best way is to use plant-based meat alternatives. Most have been pretty bad until now, Impossible and Beyond are coming in strong though. The prices aren't bad even now actually. The texture and flavor are descent for ground meat texture, burgers and sausages are fine. They can't make like a large muscle well yet, there are no good plant-based steaks or ribs, but I think we'll get there. I definitely believe in supporting those companies now.

If it's safe, similar to meat in a nutritious way, and tastes the exact same then I dont see why not. But I mean exact same
No, that sounds nasty and I would not want it. I just want to eat normally. Let me and my food alone.
Yes cheaper and more delicious meat
No. Personally I only eat four or five servings of meat a week maximum. I love veggie products, and eat a lot of homegrown vegetables too. But I don't eat meat every single day, and when I do I really enjoy the taste of feeling of meat. If lab grown mean can be 100% real to the point it's the same meat that's off the bones of an animal? Then yeah probably. But what ingredients are going in lab grown meat that we don't know about? That's what I need to know before committing.
"Yes, if cheaper. I love the beyond and impossible "meats" but I just can't have them any more when they're so expensive. "
Probably not. If I wasn't told the difference then maybe but it would be to weird to eat something lab grown.
No. One, I much prefer to put food in to my body that comes from it's natural source. Two, I grew up on a beef cattle farm. I know how cows are ACTUALLY raised and treated by the farmers. I know how hard they work. I know where the money they receive goes. I want to support them. And three, because meat tastes damn good and I don't care if I would have to pay more for it. I'm stuffing my face full of a medium rare hunk of beef covered in garlic and butter and you can't tell me no!
Yes, especially lab grown meat.
Yes, I wouldn't care if it were lab grown if it tasted more or less the same, if they were the same price I'd even consider moving over to lab grown.
