The main cast of Are You Being Served? was a very talented group of British actors who created some of the most memorable characters in sitcom history. You had John Inman as Mr. Humphries, who was famous for his "I'm Free!" catchphrase. Mollie Sugden played Mrs. Slocombe, the hilarious ladies' wear supervisor with her ever-changing hair colors. Wendy Richard played Miss Brahms, the junior assistant with a thick Cockney accent. Frank Thornton was Captain Peacock, the pompous floorwalker. Nicholas Smith was Mr. Rumbold, the department manager. Arthur Brough was Mr. Grainger in the early seasons, and Trevor Bannister played Mr. Lucas. It's one of those shows where the cast just had amazing chemistry.
