what's a sequel that sucked so bad that it ruined the previous installments for you?

Everything in the Terminator franchise, after T2. T3 was just laughable. The same movie again. Lots of repeated chase scenes etc, just more ridiculous. The best scene in the whole movie was the hilarious deleted scene where they show the origin of the T800 design. Terminator Salvation was so underwhelming that I don't remember the general plot nor a single scene. I think the color tone of the movie was yellow... sand and dust... I think there were explosions at some point, I bet there were, but I don't remember anything. I've had no interest in watching anything after that, but still get angry by all the negative reviews I've seen/read. Why do producers work so hard at actively destroying the legacy of two iconic movies? (edit: The answer is money, I know, but...)

Underworld Awakening (2012) was terrible. Like, I get the franchise itself isn't the peak of writing and direction but even though I'm usually capable of enjoying mediocre flicks, I was bored to death by the mindless action. It was basically die hard with vampires and it sucked.
