I accepted a job that cut my paycheck by a third. It was a fantastic decision. The money wasn't worth the mental damage. I'm celebrating 4 years at the lowering paying job and I am still very happy with my decision.

Yes. This job (pay and prestige is less) gives me the flexibility to be more a part of my son's life and to choose my working hours.

Yes. I can't handle a lot of office politics stress these days. Luckily I have some other sources of income that allow me to work for less money but with less stress.
