No one really should have been out there that night except for business owners. He was 17 with a firearm that was furnished by someone probably in the militia that was there. He worked in the town and probably spent alot of time there. I understand why he was there in his shoes id do the same for a town near me. He shouldn't have been there but he was and acted according to the actions of the protesters/rioters only shot those that were immediately endangering him and ran to saftey.

He's probably a good kid, just got himself into a bad situation where a few career criminals chased him down and tried to hurt him badly.

Why the fuck is anyone defending him? Crossed state lines ILLEGALLY to confront people. When he goes in and escalates a situation, those people have a right to defend themselves. He was the aggressor, not the protestors.

I'm choosing to reserve judgment until the fog clears. There have been WAY too many examples over the last few years of people rushing to conclusions. EDIT: Yikes. The number of replies from others, that I'm seeing disappear in real time, is disconcerting.
