Hope this isn't offensive but how do people date identical twins without mixing up who is who?

"Lol, I dated a girl who had an identical twin I'd never met. I was looking at a Senior Year Glamor shot she had of herself and her twin and without thinking I said, "Oh, how cool! Which one are you?" and she acted like I took a poo on the floor. She refused to be fine until I demonstrated that I "knew which one was her." I guessed correctly, so that was fine, but... You can't expect people to tell you apart from your identical twin in a glamor shot, Chelsea! No one looks like themself in a glamor shot! "

I haven't but a very close friend is dating an identical twin and he had trouble at first to the point that he almost grabbed the wrong twin ass. Only stopped because he was called by the right twin. No one noticed but I would probably have been a very weird conversation.

"You have to mark "your" twin when they're not looking. Crop their ear, or tattoo their arm or something. Otherwise you can never know. "

I'm friends with identical twins and after a week or two you can clearly tell them apart. Even just their voice gives them away

I used to date a twin. For a week or two it was confusing but the subtle differences become more obvious the more I hung out with them. My buddy dated the other one. Oh the missed opportunities.

Once you know a twin well enough to date this isn't an issue. I'm 40 and that's never happened with my sister's boyfriends or husband.

"Not twins, but I watched one of my aunts nearly mistake her husband's brother for her husband. It was pretty hilarious. She looked over at him and went to grab his hand, did a double take, "wait, your not my husband!" There were 7 kids from my grandma and they all look so much alike that there are a couple that I sometimes struggle to tell which one they are. No multiples interestingly enough. "
