Try not to focus on a single heroic deed (or even several) that's gonna seal some kind of deal. You're not there to seal a deal, you're there to grow a garden. Step by step. Plant seeds for the next meeting, embrace excitement for the future as well as the present. You'll stay more loose if you go in to a date with the knowledge that anything could happen, and that's okay. Staying loose is the key... or maybe agile is a better term. Don't think about yourself too much - act with them in mind, moreso, and the environment you find yourselves in. Don't dwell on things if you say something imperfect, let it go and refocus on them & the fact that you are glad to be with them. Be able to laugh at yourself, but also don't be self-deprecating. Don't expect too much from them, nor from yourself. Step by step. Good times don't happen in your head, they happen out in the world I'm a dude ftr. And I know this is vague, but it's true.

Being formal is a huge boner killer for me. I'm currently living and dating in a country where the required level of social niceties is insanely high. I'm was raised in a culture that's very open and emotional, so all the small talk and upkeep of personal decorum on first dates really drives me away. I tend to go immediately for any guy who's not afraid to show a bit of vulnerability, weirdness and genuine emotion.

I felt safe taking him home with me because I realized that after talking to him for a while I knew that if I took him home but decided to not do anything sexual that he would leave when I asked him to. I knew he wasn't going to claim that I owed him anything or any of that type of toxic nonsense. Feeling that safe and confident around him was very attractive and made me realize that I wanted him around for more than just one date.

"- Is clean and looks like he grooms & showers regularly, and not just for the date. Way too many guys think keeping themselves clean is "a waste of time" and is the biggest "not serious" turn off for me. I don't need a guy who looks like a Greek god, I need a guy who has good hygiene. - Doesn't get sexual on the first date or give vibes that he just wants to get in my pants. - Attentive and doesn't dominate 90% the conversation/cut me off constantly (I don't mean let me do all the talking either) - Similar interests (gaming, favorite pets, hobbies, etc.) "

Just the typical, asks me about myself, makes small jokes, smiles often, nice to waiters, opening doors is a plus. I try to do the same with my date.

"Ask questions and be genuinely interested in my answers. Don't just ask a question then wait for your own turn to answer. Genuinely be curious about my work and my life, and ask follow up questions that show you're really trying to understand. This shows that you respect me for my experiences and knowledge, not just for what I could be for you. And be honest about what you love. Don't try to be cool. Your passion about something silly or "nerdy" IS cool. Seeing someone gush about something they're interested in is really attractive. "

Smell good. This is huge. 'Not smelling bad' is great, but (for me anyway!) smelling good will get you laid. Be interested in my stuff. I'm an interesting person, my interests don't have to be the same as yours but you have to show some enthusiasm for the stuff that lights me up. Have interests of your own. Not just gaming (I like games too, but having gaming as your only hobby is a turn off). Let me pay for half (ish. Getting hung up on it being precise isn't cool) I'm fine with a guy being nervous, but watch yourself for verbal diahorrea!
