What's the story of any (supposedly) haunted places in your town/city/somewhere you've been?

Savannah, GA. Bonaventure Cemetery and Little Gracie Even after death, Gracie has remained an ambassador for Savannah. It seems that the spirit of Little Gracie Watson is still around. Many people have reported seeing the ghost of a little girl playing in Johnson Square, the Square that the Pulaski Hotel was built on. Some of the people who have seen this ghost have said that they believe the ghost to be a real girl, with a pretty white dress, running around Johnson Square, just as you would imagine any child to do....until she disappeared into thin air. I personally have never seen the ghost of Gracie Watson or talked to anyone to hear a first-hand account of them seeing her. Is her ghost really seen in Johnson Square? Or are these simply reports from people who had overactive imaginations? I guess I will have to spend some more time sitting in Johnson Square late at night to see if I can see her for myself.

"Oh heck yeah. Went to a Catholic School that's over a hundred years old so tons of stories. My favourite one borders urban legend, and we call it "The Girl in the Red Dress." Every year there are play productions put on by every grade level. Everyone follows these unspoken rules If there is a scene where there are more than five people on stage, no one can wear a red dress. You might mistaken a student for her if you do. If you come to meet her, do not greet her. Do not act as if she is out of place either. Walk past her as if she's also a crew member. The productions are part of a huge competition, and legend has it that if the girl in the red dress appears in your production you will win. That's why no one else should wear red if it's a scene with many people. It's easier to spot her that way. The red always stands out. "

There was a 14 year old girl who was kidnapped, held for 3 days, repeatedly raped, killed and left in some blackberry bushes under a bridge in the 70's. The bushes were eventually cleared and a park put in under the bridge. During the month of August ( the month she was murdered) people have reported hearing her screaming 40 years later.

One of the old plantation sized houses (sized like something you'd find on a plantation) in old town (Main Street) are haunted by the souls of slaves

Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, KY. The awards for the community theatre company as well as the onsite cafe are named for the resident ghost, Paramount Joe. Best Paramount Joe story is probably when Billy Ray Cyrus first got big in the nineties, he signed a photo to Joe, the ghost, to hang up. He also signed some for some ladies who worked there. They took Joe's signed photo down to hang one of theirs up, the ghost apparently got butthurt, and knocked all the signed photos off the wall after hours, shattering some frames. Joe apparently loves him some Billy Ray Cyrus.

Bordering one of my hay-fields is an offshoot of the trail of tears and local legend says that the ghost of a paint horse will show up along the trail. I've never seen it but ghost horses sound way cooler than people horses.

"There's a house next to where I grew up. Rumour has it a woman and her son burned to death in the house that was previously on the plot. The family that lived there later on had a six year old son and he would keep asking his mom "why is the sad lady following me around?" and "why is the scary lady crying so much?". They moved out a couple of years ago. Now the house is a kindergarten "
