who votes to elect a rajya sabah member

Members of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of India's Parliament, are not directly elected by the public. Instead, they are elected by the elected members of the State Legislative Assemblies, as well as by the elected members of the Legislative Assemblies of Union Territories and members of the Electoral College for Union Territories. These members, along with the members nominated by the President of India, form the Rajya Sabha. The number of members elected by each State or Union Territory depends on its population and representation in the Parliament.
