Oh man, the band America is a total classic. I grew up listening to them because my dad always had their vinyls spinning on weekends. The original trio that really started it all was Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell, and Dan Peek. They had that signature soft rock sound that just sticks in your head forever, especially with hits like A Horse with No Name.

Dan Peek actually ended up leaving the group back in the late 70s to pursue his own path, which was a huge shift for their sound. Since then, it’s mostly been Gerry and Dewey keeping the spirit alive and touring. Even after all these years, they still manage to put on a pretty solid show. It's wild to think about how long they've been at it, but they definitely earned their spot in music history.
