Those iconic Nikes first hit the shelves back in 1982. It's wild to think they've been around for over four decades now, but they somehow never really go out of style. I remember seeing them everywhere when I was younger, and honestly, they're still a staple in my rotation even today.
The whole design was actually pretty revolutionary for basketball players at the time because of that air cushioning tech. Bruce Kilgore was the guy who designed them, and I don't think anyone back then realized they would turn into such a massive cultural phenomenon.
