where is the Mojave Desert located

The namib desert is located right along the southwestern coast of africa, mostly stretching across namibia. I've sailed past that coastline a few times on long hauls, and honestly, it’s pretty wild seeing those massive orange dunes crashing right into the cold atlantic ocean. It's one of the oldest deserts around, and the contrast between the dry sand and the sea is something you don't really forget.

Most of it falls within namibia, but it actually spills over a bit into southwestern angola and the northern parts of south africa too. It’s a pretty harsh place to be if you're stuck on land, but from the water, it looks like an endless sea of sand. If you ever get the chance to check out the satellite maps or just look up some photos of the skeleton coast, you’ll see exactly what I mean about how desolate yet amazing it looks.
