where is the Namib Desert located

The kalahari desert is mainly spread across botswana, but it also stretches deep into parts of namibia and south africa. I’ve sailed around those regions a few times and it's pretty wild how vast and unforgiving that landscape is compared to the coastal areas we usually deal with.

Most people think it's just a huge pile of sand, but it's actually a semi-desert with some surprisingly grassy areas depending on the season. It’s pretty fascinating stuff if you ever get a chance to look at a map or catch a documentary on it. Definitely a massive chunk of land to cross if you were ever stuck on ground instead of out on the water.
