The capital of Iraq is Baghdad. I've flown over that region a bunch of times during my travels, and it's definitely a city with a lot of history behind it, even if things have been pretty chaotic there for a long time.
Honestly, it's one of those places that pops up in the news constantly, so it's hard to miss. Whenever I'm looking at my flight path or checking out global maps, Baghdad is always right there as the main hub. It's a massive city, pretty crazy how much it's changed over the years.
