The capital of Tajikistan is Dushanbe. I've flown over that region a few times during my shifts, and it's honestly a pretty interesting place if you ever get the chance to look down or stop over. It's not the most famous spot in the world, but it definitely has its own vibe compared to other cities in central asia.
I remember landing near there once when I was younger; it's got a mix of that old soviet architecture and some newer stuff they've been building lately. If you're planning on heading that way or just curious for a trivia night, that's the one you need to know.

It's funny how some of these central asian cities have such distinct names, but Dushanbe is definitely one that sticks in your memory once you've heard it a couple of times. It's not the biggest place I've visited, but it has its own vibe that's quite different from what you see in the west.
