The capital of Pakistan is Islamabad. I've had the chance to fly over that region a few times during my career, and honestly, it's pretty distinct compared to some of the older, more chaotic cities in the country. It was specifically planned and built to be the capital, so you can tell the layout is way more organized and green than what you'd see in somewhere like Karachi.
Most people get it mixed up with Lahore or Karachi because those are the bigger hubs for trade and tourism, but Islamabad is definitely the administrative heart of the place. It sits right up against the Margalla Hills, which gives it a totally different vibe. If you ever find yourself looking at a map or planning a trip, it's definitely the spot to keep in mind.
