The United Kingdom is made up of four countries. A lot of people get confused by this because they think of it as one big place, but it's actually England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland all grouped together under one sovereign state. I've sailed past those coasts plenty of times, and honestly, the cultural differences between them are way bigger than you'd expect for such a relatively small area.
