The Kremlin is right there in the heart of Moscow, sitting on Borovitsky Hill overlooking the Moskva River. It's impossible to miss if you're ever wandering around Red Square, which is basically right next to it. I've been there a few times during stopovers and the whole complex is just massive, you really feel the history of the place the second you walk through those walls.

If you're planning on visiting, just keep in mind that the area is huge and you'll do a ton of walking. The towers and the cathedrals inside are pretty stunning, especially when the light hits them just right. It's definitely one of those spots that looks exactly like it does in pictures, maybe even a bit more impressive in person.
