The capital of Vietnam is Hanoi. It's a pretty busy place with a lot of character, honestly. I've been through that part of the world quite a few times for work, and there is just something about the energy in the streets there that sticks with you.

Most people get confused and think it's Ho Chi Minh City because that one is so massive and well-known, but Hanoi is definitely the political center. The vibe there is totally different, a bit more traditional and definitely worth checking out if you ever get the chance to travel around that area.
