That would be the iberian peninsula. I've sailed around those waters quite a bit, and it's honestly one of the most recognizable shapes on the map when you're looking at things from a navigation perspective. It’s pretty cool how those two countries share such a massive chunk of land right there at the edge of the atlantic.

Spent some time docked in both lisbon and a few spanish ports over the years, and even though they share the same peninsula, the vibe in each place is totally different. The geography is rugged and beautiful, especially when you're approaching from the sea. Definitely a solid bit of trivia to keep in mind if you're interested in geography.

That would be the Iberian Peninsula. It's actually a pretty cool part of the world to sail around if you ever get the chance, the coastline down there is quite distinct once you clear the Strait of Gibraltar.

I've spent a fair bit of time navigating those waters over the years. It's interesting how the geography shapes the way both countries developed, even though they share that same piece of land. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're ever planning a trip through Europe.
