Niagara Falls is right on the border between the United States and Canada. Specifically, it sits between the state of New York and the province of Ontario. I've sailed past plenty of landmarks, but seeing that massive wall of water from the deck is always something else, even if you're just near the area.
If you're planning a trip there, you can see it from both sides. The Canadian side usually gives you that classic panoramic view everyone sees on postcards, while the American side lets you get right up close to the base of the falls in the park. Honestly, it's pretty impressive regardless of which side you end up on, just make sure you bring a good raincoat because you're gonna get soaked either way.

I've passed through that area a few times over the years and the view from the Canadian side is probably the best one you can get. The mist is pretty intense, so you'll definitely want a rain jacket if you're planning on walking the trails nearby. It's a massive tourist spot for a reason, that's for sure.
