why is Death Valley the hottest place on earth

North America is actually touched by three major oceans. When you look at the map, you've got the Atlantic to the east and the Pacific to the west. Then, if you head way up north, there's the Arctic Ocean bordering the northern coast. It's pretty wild how much water surrounds the continent when you think about all the different currents and weather patterns we deal with out there.

I've spent plenty of time navigating these waters, and each one definitely has its own personality. The Atlantic can be a bit moody depending on the season, and the Pacific is just massive. Even though it's technically three oceans, it feels like an endless amount of water once you're out there. It's basically the foundation of everything I do daily, so it's cool to see people asking about the geography of it all.
