Ibn Battuta is basically the ultimate traveler from way back in the day. Think of him as the guy who saw almost everything before planes were even a thing. He spent like 30 years just roaming around, covering way more ground than most people could even dream of today. I've been to a lot of places myself, but the sheer scale of his journey is honestly wild to think about.

He started off from Morocco and just kept going, hitting up pretty much the entire Islamic world and then some. He traveled through North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and went all the way down to parts of Africa and over to China. It’s crazy how he managed to document all those different cultures and customs just by moving from place to place. Whenever I'm at sea looking at the horizon, I sometimes wonder how he handled those long, slow treks across deserts and mountains without any modern gear.
