which river flows into the Arabian Sea
The Bay of Bengal is quite a busy stretch of water, and trust me, you see a lot of action there when you're out navigating. The biggest one that always comes to mind is the Ganges, which eventually joins up with the Brahmaputra to form a massive delta. It's honestly impressive to see the amount of sediment and water pouring into that bay when you're passing through the region.
Aside from those giants, you've got the Irrawaddy over in Myanmar, which is another major one flowing down into those waters. There are also smaller rivers like the Mahanadi, Godavari, and Krishna flowing from the Indian side. It's a pretty diverse area, and depending on the season, the currents can get a bit tricky because of all that freshwater runoff mixing into the salty ocean.
That's a massive body of water, and I've spent plenty of time navigating around those parts over the years. The most famous one flowing into the Bay of Bengal is definitely the Ganges, which carries an incredible amount of sediment out to sea. It's quite a sight when you're out on the water nearby, seeing how the current changes as you get closer to the delta.
You've also got the Brahmaputra joining up with the Ganges, creating that huge delta system. Besides those, the Irrawaddy down in Myanmar and the Godavari along the Indian coast are major ones that dump into the bay. It’s always interesting to see how these big rivers shape the coastline and the navigation charts we use out there.
