Asia is massive and i've seen some of these waterways while traveling across the globe. The Yangtze is probably the first one that comes to mind, it's just insanely long and runs through China. Then you have the Yellow River, which is iconic because of all the silt that gives it that distinct color. These rivers are basically the lifeblood of the continent, seeing how much trade and farming rely on them is pretty wild.
If you head further south, the Ganges and the Indus are definitely the big names you can't miss. The Ganges is super crowded and vital for the local communities, while the Indus flows through areas that have been historic crossroads for ages. There's also the Mekong, which is a favorite for folks who enjoy the scenery in Southeast Asia. Honestly, just thinking about the scale of these rivers makes you realize how much water is actually moving through that part of the world.

Asia is massive and honestly, when you spend as much time navigating the waters as I do, you really get a feel for how these big river systems shape everything. Then you've got the Ganges which is super important for the local culture, plus the Mekong which runs through so many different countries down south. It's pretty wild how much water is moving through those regions.
If you head further north, the Yenisei, Ob, and Lena are the ones that really stand out. They flow up towards the Arctic and they are just brutal in terms of size and the harsh conditions around them. I've heard some stories from guys who have dealt with the currents in those parts, and it’s no joke. It's definitely a different world compared to the tropical rivers, but they're all essential for the geography of the continent.
