How likely will pouring down a half bottle of bleach down the kitchen sink guarantee killing the source of fruit flies?

Since your disposal doesn't work, they are likely spawning on the top of the disposal - so unless you can fill the disposal with boiling hot water (or bleach, I guess) you're not going to get them.

If they're spawning from there, it might work. You still have to worry about the survivors because they can multiply really quickly.

If they're in there, yeah it will but it's also incredibly bad for the environment and your pipes to pour a whole ass half-cup of bleach. Just use draino

I heard boiling water works well, too... Maybe you can try it if bleach doesn't do the trick. Either way I hope you'll get rid of them soon.

Baking soda and vinegar works best. Put about 1/2 c. Baking soda and 1 cup vinegar let it bubble then rinse with hot water.
