This question. Commonly over asked and ignores all reason. It's like people think if you disagree politicaly on something that you have to fight to the death. The only people who think like that? Are zealots. Yes, if you tried to make a relationship work between a hardcore Christian Conservative male and a super politically active Liberal feminist female. It wouldn't work most likely. Why? Because they're both zealots. For the most part people identify with parties that they feel will fight for what they believe in most. I've met people that constantly vote for conservatives that didn't give one fuck if gay's were allowed to get married or not. They were just conservative because of their stances on gun rights or something. Couples are more likely to fight harder over dumb shit like who gets to use which car, when and for what, more often then political affiliation.

It's easy. We don't talk about politics! We high-five each other for performing our civic duty and voting every once in a while. That's it.

I was a registered republican that never voted a straight republican ticket, my wife a life long dem never voted a split ticket. We've never had a issue. Not all republicans are nut jobs and watch Fox News.

My husband and I are total political opposites. Other than the occasional heated argument we mostly just call each other retarded a lot. *I am aware it's politically incorrect to use the term retarded now a days. Still do it.

In most modern democracies it's ok for people to support different parties. We don't go around screaming at eachother for it.

I lean a little left, he leans a little right. We agree on most things. It doesn't affect us too much.
