It seems dems are decided to vote for Warren or Sanders. Can they publically announce an alliance that whoever stands will make each other's partner for VP?

"We're a long way from the primaries yet, and a lot of things can change in that time. This time 4 years ago, Trump was still considered a "joke" candidate who had no shot of winning the nomination. You don't want to reveal too much about VP plans too early, as that give the other party more time to do research and plan strategy. Keeping them guessing and having to split their resources/plan for multiple contingencies for as long as possible is the best strategic option. "

I'm just disappointed that the two top runner ups are Sanders and Warren. -_-

Why democrat candidates instead of alienating voters why not just do an alliance. It's the surest and easiest way to claim victory. Why not announce publically now that if say Sanders becomes president that he'll take Warren for VP or viceversa. I am sure they would work well together given the mutual respect they have for each other. And I am also sure their base will be more excited for both. Good or bad idea? Is that against the rules?
