did you know that a shrimp's heart is actually in its head? i remember hearing that years ago and it just stuck with me for no reason at all. it makes absolutely zero sense, but whenever i'm cleaning seafood or just hanging out at the shop, i think about how weird nature really is. like, how does that even work with their anatomy?

another one that pops into my head sometimes is that a snail can sleep for three years if the conditions aren't right. i mean, imagine just deciding to take a nap for three years straight because it's a bit dry outside. honestly, sometimes when work gets super stressful and the customers are driving me crazy, i kind of wish i could just pull a move like that and check out for a while.
