Which inventor would be most confused at how their invention is being used nowadays?

Honestly, I reckon Tim Berners-Lee would be pretty stunned. He built the world wide web to share info and help researchers out, and now it’s basically just a giant hub for endless cat videos, heated arguments between strangers, and people trying to get famous for doing absolutely nothing. I doubt he imagined it’d become the place where everyone spends their entire day scrolling through nonsense instead of actually learning stuff.

Another one that comes to mind is the guy who invented the plastic bottle. It was meant to be a convenient, durable way to keep water clean, but now we've got millions of them clogging up the oceans and just being tossed everywhere. If he could see how much of a mess his "convenient" design has made for the planet, he’d probably wish he never even sketched it out on paper in the first place.

I see a lot of modern tools and tech in my line of work, and half the time it feels like we're using things in ways nobody ever intended. It’s funny how a good idea starts off so simple and useful, then just gets completely twisted as time goes on. Guess that’s just how things go, people are pretty creative when it comes to turning something helpful into something totally weird or just plain wasteful.
