Throwaway account: Relevant to the man's post about taking in the abused dog, I am fully aware my neighbors abuse their dog. How can I help the poor thing?

Calling ASPCA was the best thing you could do. However, I am usurer whether adoptingg the dog will be the best choice for you since it will likely upset your neighbors very much. With that said, if you aren't concerned that they are capable of threatening your dogs or yourself after this incident then it would be wonderful if you can take this greyhound in and give it your loving care. Beware though because they can throw poisoned food into your yard or general area where you walk your pets. Dogs will eat anything and it has happened in my city where some psychos decided it was fun to hide poisoned treats at a local park.

Go and threaten to fucking bash them. They need a good hiding. Pick on them, like they pick on animals. Easy.

Call the police. Animal abuse is a crime. Or maybe your city's animal control officer.

This guy is lucky I don't live next door to him. If I would have seen him hit/throw/abuse his dog in any way, I would have taken his dog away from him with no problem. It would take everything in my power not to fucking rage on the guy. I have zero tolerance for animal abuse, and you shouldn't tolerate it either.

OP is irrational and unable to make a solid move without the approval of everyone they come in contact with, regardless of relationship. OP cares more about appearing right than acting right. OP is full of fear and indecision. OP witnesses abuse and is perplexed on what to do. OP is a dangerous individual to themselves and everyone around them. OPs fabricated dilemma is not understood. Downvote me to hell because I speak what I see.

Don't play little games to make yourself feel like a fucking avenging hero. Call the ASPCA NOW. Knowing that this is going on, how can you just sit on your ass and try to hatch a little plan? Stop being delusional and deal with it.
