People who have had their eye shot out or had another type of BB gun injury like in a Christmas Story. What happened? Was it a result of personal negligence?

My brothers and I had set up a BB gun range in our basement's fairly large utility room. We thought we'd set it up so the BBs wouldn't ricochet. My youngest brother shot at one of the plastic army men we'd set up as targets, hit something hard, and the BB came back and imbedded itself in my knee just under the skin. That's right, I used to be a BB sharpshooter like you, until I took a BB to the knee.

I never got shot, but my brother chucked his BB gun at my head. It left a huge bump and I had headaches for days.

I have my eye still but I remember when I was younger a kid in my neighborhood way trying to shot down my rc helicopter and he aimed a little to far down and I can't tell if he hit me in my eye or if he hit below it was definitely personal negligence though

Had a client who's one son accidentally shot his other son in the eye. Gun just went off, no trigger discipline. Went through his eye and into his brain and now he is slow.
