My Brother should get on and tell his story, because he has a doozy! He works for a giant corporation (I won't expose him). The CEOs gave a list of what changes/improvements they wanted to the website. All other IT guys said it can't be done, impossible. Brother said yes it can if we do it away it's never been done before. CEOs said will give you x amount of time to prove to us it's possible. So he did and it was better than he predicted. They had to redo the entire website and the entire IT Department hates him because of it, but can't get rid of him the normal ways (bullying, false accusations) because the CEOs know him by name now and Brother has been on to their ways from day 1 and has taken precautions.

I turned down a promotion because my then-wife had literally just had a baby (like two weeks earlier) and felt like the timing wasn't good and I wouldn't be able to do a good job working nights and having a newborn. The manager hated me for it and I was never offered another promotion.
