"Depends on your gender and race. While anyone can offer universal advice, it's gonna be generic stuff like "study hard" or "only party on the weekends." You'll be treated differently depending on who you are. So my advise would be dependent on that. "

Use your professor's office hours. They want you to succeed and will literally give you answers.

Find field related work whether its summer contract jobs or internships! Lack of experience set me back a few years after graduating.

College is the bare minimum.. college is the tool you have that is the basis to be able to teach yourself. Build a portfolio of experience

Don't commit to a major on your first year. Take a bit of everything as you complete your generals. You might find something you really enjoy that you didn't expect.

Take on a summer job or do volunteer work. Companies want you to have education AND work experience. That summer job can set you aside from your other graduates.

Organize yourself, you have now landed your first job.. To study and get a qualification but also yo learn how to work to deadlines, goals unsupervised. the party people are either going to fail or burn out
