What could I say without being a hypocrite. I've seen your dad throw a skin head at a cop car by the neck, and in some states I'm still considered a felon. It's not who we are anymore, and I'd hate to be judged by my youth. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't urge caution. I constantly need to keep myself from slowly slipping back to the way I once was. I've got no reason to assume it isn't the same for them. All it takes though is the love of a good man or woman to make someone so much more than they ever thought they could be. So who am I to deny anyone that. In practice it would be much harder than theory though.

Assuming my child is 18 or over, I respect their decision. Who they choose to be in a relationship with is none of my business. If this partner ever does end up being grossly disrespectful to me or my child, they won't be welcome in my house anymore. That's about all I can do.

If shes like 16 and he's in his 20's or someshit then that's gross. But otherwise, I guess you have to learn that love can come from anywhere, even guys who have made the terrible decision of getting a forehead tattoo <3
