Parks and Recreation is the absolute king of this. The first season is honestly pretty painful to get through because they were trying way too hard to copy the vibe of The Office, and Leslie Knope just felt like a weird, annoying version of Michael Scott. It took them until the second season to finally figure out her character and let the rest of the cast actually shine. Once they stopped forcing the mockumentary angle so hard, it turned into one of the best sitcoms ever made.
Then there's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which was super rough at the start. It felt like a generic procedural for the first half of season one and almost made me quit watching it entirely. But then the whole Winter Soldier tie-in happened, and the show basically reinvented itself overnight. From that point on, it became this massive, high-stakes sci-fi epic that was way better than what it started as.
Star Trek: The Next Generation is a classic example too. If you go back and watch season one now, it's honestly super cringey and the writing is all over the place. Everyone was still trying to find their footing and the budget looked pretty cheap compared to what came later. By the third season, when things really started clicking, it became the gold standard for sci-fi TV. Definitely worth pushing through the early episodes if you're a fan of the genre.

The office is the classic example here. Honestly, the first season was just trying too hard to copy the british version and michael scott was super cringey, like almost unwatchable. But once they found their own rhythm in the second season, it became legendary. I almost quit after the first few episodes, glad I stuck around though.
Parks and recreation is another one that comes to mind. That first season was basically just a bad parks department clone of the office. Leslie knope felt like a total caricature. Once they dropped that angle and let the characters breathe a bit more, it turned into one of the funniest shows ever. You just gotta power through the rough start sometimes.
