That's the classic "time travel paradox" headache, isn't it? Honestly, it's a messed up situation. If you actually pulled it off, you'd be a hero to history books that don't even know you exist, but to anyone watching it happen, you're just a monster. It’s like, how do you explain to a judge or a crowd that you just snuffed out a kid because of what he might do in thirty years? They’d lock you up and throw away the key, and you’d never get to see the world you supposedly saved.
I think people get too caught up in the "what if" without thinking about the reality of the act. Being a technician, I spend my days fixing things that are broken, not breaking things that might become a problem later. It feels wrong to judge a life before it’s even lived, regardless of how dark things turn out. Even if you knew for sure, living with the weight of being a child-killer is a heavy price to pay for a "greater good" that nobody will ever thank you for.
