I was under the impression it was just a high priced dinner, not a contribution. But then it wouldn't be tax deductible. Hmmm, i dunno either. Interested to find out

The $2800 limit is directly to a campaign. The $250,000 dinner is for a political action committee. Laws are funny like that.
