What little thing do you do to make the world a better place? I'll start: I try to forcefully pee away the poop stains in the bowls of public toilets.

I go to extreme lengths to return lost cell phones, purses, and wallets to their owners. I go though address books and text messages, to find phone numbers for 'Home', 'Dad', 'Mom', 'Work' or some other number that I can call to pass on a message to the owner. If it's locked I keep it charged and on me until someone calls, then I tell them that it's lost and the owner needs to call it so we can arrange for them to come get it. For the wallets I look at business cards and IDs and do a reverse directory lookup for a phone number but if their number is not listed (as with most cell phones) I try and find a Facebook or email account and send them a message. I clean three bars daily, so I've probably done this for at least a phone and/or a wallet/purse a week for the past two years, usually more.

Always smile and say please, thank you, and have a nice day when talking to someone helping me out. Whether a salesperson, cashier, waiter, etc, hearing that does brighten their day some. I learned this after doing retail for three years - people who were always polite to me, no matter the situation, made me take on the next customer with a more positive attitude and spread the good mood =)
I get frequent headaches and as a result I carry a bag in my purse with a container of ibuprofen. I use the other space in the pouch for bandaids, decongestants, peppermints and anti-itch gel. I rarely need them, but you'd be surprised how many other people I come across do. I am the Mother Teresa of minor ailments.
If I take the elevator and notice someone will need it on the floor I'm on (I park in a garage and I sometimes see someone taking things out of their car, where it would be too long to wait for them), I hit the button of the floor they were on when I get out on my floor.
If someone asks, yes, I do have change or a few dollar bills.
Whenever I buy a 75 cent soda at work, I pay with a dollar and leave the change in the change slot. I like to imagine whoever finds the quarter will be super psyched.
This might not make sense, but whenever someone asks to buy/bum a cigarette off me, I give it to them, no matter what. If I'm going out and all my non-smoker friends want a smoke when we get out of the club, I supply them. I call it my cigarette karma.
I push in chairs - even ones I wasn't sitting in.
I leave my box of fabric softener sheets in the laundry room of my apartment building with a little note that says 'go for it'. Out of 80, I probably used 6 or 7
You wonderful bastard, I do that too!
