Why do young boys growl and pretend to be fierce more than young girls do?

Ive been a nanny for two decades. YOUNG kids are not that different. It's only as they grow up that boys are encouraged to be aggressive and whatnot. Little girls growl, play fight, etc just as much until some adult stops them.
