i've been dealing with those annoying long links for ages, especially when i'm sharing stuff with my buddies. honestly, you don't really need a heavy add-on for that. there is this extension called clearurls that works like a charm. it just strips away all those tracking codes automatically whenever you copy a link or even click on one. it's been a life saver for keeping my browsing history a bit cleaner.

if you don't want to install something that stays running all the time, just try copying the link and pasting it into a simple URL shortener or even just deleting everything after the question mark in the address bar. usually, everything starting from the '?' is just garbage tracking info anyway. i've gotten so used to just chopping it off manually that i don't even think about it anymore. it takes two seconds and keeps things tidy.

i totally get you, those long urls with all the tracking junk at the end are super annoying when you try to share something. i've been using this extension called ClearURLs for a while now and it honestly saves so much headache. it automatically strips out all that garbage data like gclid or utm tags the second you copy a link or open a page. it's pretty much a set-it-and-forget-it kind of thing.

if you want something a bit more lightweight, there is also an option called Skip Redirect. it helps with those annoying intermediate links that bounce you around before getting to the real site. i usually just keep ClearURLs installed on my browser and it covers pretty much everything i need. it makes sharing links with friends way cleaner since you aren't sending them a whole paragraph of tracking code.
