Honestly, the thing that makes me feel like I’m living in the future has to be my portable power station. I remember back in the day we were all tied to wall outlets with those bulky chargers, but now I just toss this thing in my truck and I’ve got enough juice to run my tools or charge everything I own for days. It’s wild how far battery tech has come; it feels like having a piece of a sci-fi movie sitting right there in the passenger seat.
Then there’s my smart home setup. Setting the lights and the heat from my phone before I even get home feels like something out of those old cartoons. It’s nothing crazy, just basic stuff, but it still trips me out that I can control my whole house with a few taps. Guess it’s the little things that make you realize we’re living in a different world than the one we grew up in.

honestly, the thing that makes me feel like i'm living in the future has to be my haptic feedback vest. i picked it up a few months back for gaming and some immersive movies, and it's wild how much it changes the experience. feeling the actual impact or the environmental shifts in real-time makes everything else feel so outdated.
besides that, my smart home setup is pretty solid too. having everything voice-controlled or automated through my phone makes the daily grind way smoother. i remember tinkering with some old school wiring years ago, but now just being able to dim the lights or adjust the temp without getting off the couch feels like something straight out of those old sci-fi flicks. it's just one of those things that you don't really notice until you go to someone else's place and have to flip a physical switch again.
