How do you feel about a 4 day work week?

Honestly, a 4 day work week sounds like a dream for some folks, but in my line of work, it's pretty complicated. When you have jobs lined up, clients are always expecting things to get finished yesterday. If I cut down to four days, I'd probably be drowning in backlogged tasks by the time Monday rolled around again. It’s hard to imagine being able to just pack up tools and leave when there's still a mess to clean up or a project halfway through.

I see why people in offices or desk jobs are all for it though. If you're just sitting behind a screen, you can probably cram the same amount of output into longer days. But out in the field, you're limited by daylight and physical stamina. Working ten hours a day just to get a three-day weekend doesn't sound that fun when your body is already beat by the end of an eight-hour shift. Still, wouldn't say no to an extra day off if the pay stayed the same, but it feels like a bit of a pipe dream for someone in my position.
