What would you do if your current bf/gf did not like your beloved pet?

Well, my bf of nearly 8 years doesn't like my snake (that I have had for around 9 years now), but when I'm away for longer he takes care of it and we even decided that when we'll move in together I'll get a room just for my snake (and eventual future snakes), so I'm good. We found a compromise. But if I got into a new relationship it would absolutely be a dealbreaker for me if we can't find any compromises.

Break up with them. This cat has been with me 9 years and is the most precious thing. She sleeps against my side in the crook of my arm every night. Hears my alarm in the mornings, then immediately gets up purring and starts headbutting and licking my face. This cat brought me through one of the darkest depressions of my life. I will treasure her until she dies. No partner is worth giving that up.

It depends. If eventual cohabitation is your goal, that's probably not going to pan out very well.
