Put your head between your hands and rock back and forth and say repeatedly at my kitchen table, still working from home'. You may not get the job but hopefully they won't ask anyone else that stupid question.

Interviewers, in my experience, know very little about the job so ya, I think they'll keep reading from their bullshit scripts. When you go for one, make sure you ask how the company handled the pandemic-- how did operations change, how were employees compensated/treated, what preventive measures did they take, etc.
